➕ Add-ons policy
Rules for clothes washing, guarded ironing, home and pantry organization, market errands and onsite add-on approval.
Clothes washing quantities
- Choose 1–4 washing-machine loads. One load is the machine’s safe capacity or 25 ordinary pieces, whichever comes first.
- The first load is ₦7,000 and each additional load is ₦6,000. A smaller wash still uses the one-load minimum because setup, sorting and machine time are reserved.
- More than four loads needs a separately scheduled request so HomeCare can confirm enough time and HomeCare Pros; it is not silently added onsite.
- The service is available only as an add-on to a cleaning visit; it is not a standalone laundry visit.
- Machine loading, an ordinary machine cycle and hanging are included. Folding is included only when items dry before the visit ends.
- Socks count as one pair. Every other garment counts as one piece.
Laundry customer responsibilities
- Provide a safe, working washing machine, detergent, water, electricity, hangers or pegs and suitable drying space.
- Separate colours and identify delicate, colour-running, damaged or special-care items before work starts.
- Choose or approve the washing-machine programme. The HomeCare Pro records the agreed load count before starting.
- Remove valuables and check every pocket. HomeCare is not responsible for items left in pockets or undisclosed care requirements, subject to applicable law.
Laundry exclusions
- The washing add-on does not include ironing, handwashing, stain-removal guarantee, dry cleaning or drying-machine service. Ironing must be selected and paid for separately.
- No shoes, bags, rugs, curtains, duvets, pillows or other bulky household textiles.
- No dry-clean-only, hand-wash-only, beaded, heavily embellished, structurally damaged or hazardous items.
- An overloaded machine is not permitted even when the piece limit has not been reached.
Everyday ironing
- Choose 5–40 fully dry, ordinary care-labelled garments in groups of 5 at ₦2,000 per group.
- Fewer than five pieces uses the first five-piece minimum. More than 40 pieces needs a separately scheduled request so enough working time can be assigned.
- The customer counts the pieces with the HomeCare Pro and separates heat-sensitive or special-care items before work starts.
- Suits, agbada, lace, silk, wool, beads, sequins, embroidery, heat-transfer or printed designs, damaged garments and items without a clear safe care instruction are excluded.
- The customer provides a safe working iron, stable ironing board, electricity and a suitable work area.
- No stain removal, repair, starching, professional pressing or guarantee of a dry-cleaner finish is included. The HomeCare Pro must pause any item whose fabric or care instruction is uncertain.
Organization add-ons
- General cleaning already includes light organization and tidying of ordinary visible items in every booked room.
- Focused home and pantry organization are paid one-hour add-ons for deeper sorting and grouping of small items in one agreed area using storage already available.
- The add-on does not redesign the room, move belongings between rooms or decide permanent storage without the customer’s direction.
- The customer decides what may be discarded, donated or relocated. HomeCare Pros do not make disposal decisions.
- Moving heavy furniture or appliances, installing shelves and handling hazardous, confidential or high-value collections are excluded.
Market errands
- An errand is attached to one cleaning visit only. A fresh list and approval are required for another visit, including visits in a recurring schedule.
- The service fee covers up to one hour, one approved destination and no more than 15 listed items. Extra time or another stop never begins automatically and requires HomeCare support approval.
- The purchase budget and transport budget are shown separately, prepaid and held only for that errand.
- The customer names the shop or market, enters an itemized list and chooses whether an unavailable item should be skipped or confirmed with them. An open-ended instruction such as ‘buy anything useful’ is not accepted.
- Substitutions are never automatically permitted. The HomeCare Pro skips the unavailable item or obtains a recorded in-app approval according to the customer’s selected fallback.
- The HomeCare Pro cannot spend above either approved budget, add items, change the destination, accept an off-app payment or collect cash from the customer.
- A receipt photo or itemized proof is required before completion. Purchases and transport are charged to their own budgets, and every unused naira returns automatically to the customer wallet.
- No cash or banking transactions, cash-like products, controlled medication, alcohol, tobacco, weapons, high-value goods, unknown packages, parcel collection or intercity travel.
- HomeCare may pause an errand for support review where the list, destination, route, time, spend, receipt or behaviour appears unsafe, unlawful or inconsistent with the booking.
Onsite requests
A HomeCare Pro may propose an add-on after arrival, but cannot begin it or collect payment directly. The customer must approve the in-app quote, have enough available balance and accept any effect on timing. Declining does not affect the general cleaning service.
