💳 Wallet and rewards terms
Wallet and card payments, linked cards, reserved balances, withdrawals, refunds, tips, bills and reward limits.
Ways to pay
- A customer may add money to the HomeCare wallet by Paystack card checkout or bank transfer to an issued personal funding account.
- A customer may instead pay for a cleaning directly by card or bank transfer without first adding money to the wallet.
- HomeCare credits wallet money and confirms direct payment only after Paystack reports success and the server verifies the reference, currency and exact amount.
- Card checkout and any PIN, OTP or bank challenge are completed in Paystack’s secure payment experience.
- A booking paid by bank transfer is refundable only to the verified bank source connected to that payment; it is not converted into freely withdrawable wallet value.
Linked cards
- Linking a card is optional and requires a successful initial card payment plus the customer’s express choice to save it.
- HomeCare stores the reusable Paystack authorization on the server and shows only masked details such as card brand, bank, expiry and last four digits in the app.
- HomeCare does not store the complete card number, PIN, CVV or OTP.
- A linked card can be removed from the app. Removing it prevents new HomeCare payment requests using that authorization but does not reverse a completed payment or resolve an outstanding chargeback.
Available and secured money
- A personal funding account may be issued after the customer gives consent and completes only the bank or identity validation required by the payment provider for that feature. This payment check is separate from cleaning signup.
- A wallet booking reserves the full next-visit amount so it cannot be spent twice.
- A direct-card booking is charged at checkout and the confirmed value is reserved for that visit. The total and timing are shown before the customer pays.
- Customer-authorized start converts the reserved service value into the completed service charge in HomeCare’s records. A cancellation or company failure follows the displayed release and refund rules for the original payment method.
- Approved errand purchase and transport budgets are separate protected holds. They cannot be withdrawn, spent on another service or funded with reward points while the errand remains open.
- Each transaction is linked to its booking, bill, errand, withdrawal, tip, refund or adjustment.
Recurring visits
A recurring schedule does not require payment for all four weeks upfront. Each next visit must be funded independently. HomeCare sends reminders and pauses an unfunded visit before assignment or dispatch.
Withdrawals
- The customer chooses how much eligible available money to withdraw, subject to the displayed minimum and maximum.
- Eligible withdrawals return only to the verified bank account that funded the wallet. The account holder name and funding-source evidence must match the verified customer.
- Transfers from an unverified or third-party bank account are not cash-withdrawable during the pilot. An mistaken-transfer or ownership review may be requested through support.
- Reserved money, promotional credit, rewards, unsettled deposits, disputed funds and chargeback-affected funds cannot be withdrawn.
- The withdrawal bank cannot be edited in the app. Bank-detail changes require support review and renewed verification.
- Processing may be paused where required for fraud prevention, disputes, payment-provider checks or legal obligations.
Bill payments
- Customers may fund bills from available wallet money. HomeCare Pros may fund bills only from settled available earnings; reserved, disputed, pending and travel amounts remain protected.
- The provider, account or meter number, amount, funding source and any reward use are shown before confirmation. Completed bill payments are resolved under the relevant provider and refund rules.
- Users may save a beneficiary or electricity meter for repeat use. The user remains responsible for checking the provider, meter type, number and amount before every payment.
- Electricity reminders are optional. A reminder never authorizes an automatic payment, debit or renewal.
- Receipts stay linked to the money record and may be saved or shared. Sharing a receipt is the user’s choice and may expose the displayed account reference.
Rewards, referrals and tips
- Reward points may be applied to eligible cleaning, add-ons and supported bills, but cannot be transferred or withdrawn as cash.
- Electricity earns one point per ₦1,000 of the money-funded portion, capped at 25 points per successful payment. Every third eligible electricity payment in a calendar month adds 10 points. Points-funded value does not earn new points.
- A new customer can connect one referral code during signup or before the account’s first eligible clean or electricity payment. The connected referrer cannot be changed after qualifying activity begins.
- A referral awards 100 points to each eligible person only after the referred account’s first completed clean or first successful electricity payment of at least ₦5,000, subject to account, device, payment and abuse checks.
- The two awards are posted once as one linked transaction. Invite status remains visible as joined, in progress, rewarded, not eligible or reversed.
- Self-referrals, duplicate accounts, split or reversed payments, false activity and other manipulation do not qualify. Awards may be withheld or reversed only with an auditable reason and review.
- Tips are optional and 100% is credited to the HomeCare Pro, subject only to payment reversal or fraud correction.
Financial adjustments
Manual credits, debits, refunds and reversals require an authorized reason and audit record. HomeCare may correct duplicate or erroneous entries while preserving the transaction history.
